Stephen F. Karas handcrafts the Original Crosses of Courage "Turn-Out" Plaques w/hooks, the "Shields of Steel"  with key or hat hooks and the Custom Trailer Hitch Receiver Covers. 

 The medium worked with is 1/4" thick steel.  The Crosses of Courage plaques are cut into a Maltese Cross (8x10" in size and 3 lbs.) which have a historical meaning for firefighters.  The plaques become customized by choosing your own personalized options
(text, graphics, and color.)  The color is powder coated and must go through a heating and curing process.  In addition, the hardware is included and there are quite a few selections.

 The Crosses of Courage "Turn-Out" Plaques with the hooks (mainly designed to carry wet turn-out gear) can be placed on lockers, doors and walls.  Some customers just purchase for a personalized gift.  The plaques can also be used for awards, a retirement gift, graduation, in memory of a someone special.

 These firefighter plaques are not only handcrafted, but uniquely personalized with your choices of text (company name, last name, significant dates, type of company), graphics (axes, ladders, hooks, bugles, rescue tools, nozzles, hose, mascot.....etc.) and color(s).
